Occupation: Reporter, Dark Signer
Duel Information: Carly uses the "Fortune Lady" deck, a deck of monsters that start out weak and get stronger depending on their level. Most of them have powerful effects related to when they are summoned or removed from the field. This is aided by the use of "Future Vision", Carly's Field Spell. Her ace monster is "Earthbound God Aslla piscu".
PB and/or Description: Is this really even necessary for canons?
Personality: This is a hard thing to describe, and Carly herself wishes she knew it more definitively than she does. Most of the time, she's a very sweet, well-meaning if...somewhat clumsy and erratic girl. She's very determined in that when she sets her mind on a goal, she goes after it, very relentlessly, whether it be a great scoop, the love of her life, or...well...murder.
Which brings up the other half of Carly's personality. A dark, sadistic woman obsessed with vengeance who greatly indulges in the pain of others. She divines their future, only so she can take great pleasure watching them squirm as she informs them of the horrible things in store for them. Carly hates this part of her and is honestly mortified that her transformation into a Dark Signer means she'll slowly lose herself and just turn into this monster that was created by her own lust for revenge. She wants to stop it, but...she doesn't know how.
Abilities: As a Dark Signer, Carly possesses the ability to create Darkness Duels. See this post for details: http://community.livejournal.com/duelacademy_r2/164908.html . She is also somewhat of a precognitive, being able to see shortly into the future. But she has hardly any control over this ability, and the range into the future she can see is...spotty, at best.
History: Carly Nagisa was born in one of the poorest parts of Neo-Domino City, eventually becoming a street duelist to get by. Using the...surprisingly competent Fortune-Telling Witches, she managed to get by, but it wasn't enough for her. The fortunes her witches told her that she was eventually destined for something more than being a street duelist was something she took to the deepest part of her heart. Eventually, fortune smiled on her and she became a reporter for a newspaper. Eventually, she came to try to cover the Fortune Cup and through her investigation, met the man named Jack Atlas.
It was Carly's greatest misfortune that she would eventually fall in love with that man.
Her connection to Jack Atlas led her to see two battles between a Signer and a Dark Signer, one of which she was directly involved in, and one which she saw from overhead. After the second, Jack Atlas parted ways from her, much to her chagrin. She decided she would find her way back to him no matter what. This led her to the Arcadia Movement, where she faced off against Divine in a duel. After being defeated in one turn, she was flung to her death.
...but she refused to die. Fortune smiled on her again, and she was revived by the Earthbound God Aslla piscu. Immediately after she revived, she took her revenge on the one who had killed her, Divine. Planning to send him to his death in much the same way as he had her, she took great pleasure in watching him twist as she slowly drove the knife in deeper with her Fortune Lady cards, before eventually finishing him off with her newly acquired Earthbound God. It was then that she snapped out of the revenge-driven rage that she realized what she had done and broke down in tears. Her fellow Dark Signer, Misty Lola, came to her at that point and supported her in her moment of weakness. After that, she was taken to the residence of the Dark Signers deep within B.A.D. Shortly afterwards, darkness was expelled from B.A.D. and overtook the entirety of Satellite...but...when the darkness cleared, Carly was nowhere to be found.
Whether fortune's smile upon Carly will grow increasingly dark and twisted remains to be seen.

Personality: British. And evil.
History: Dude got sealed up. He was pissed. So he tried to get at some DID chick. Didn't work. So he tried to get at some reporter. It worked. He was psyched.
Abilities: Reviving the dead, absorbing souls, widespread destruction, gigantic monocle and stovepipe hat.
Why is your character here?: Dark Signer plot. Also, I'm taking some liberties on her characterization and history based on what 5D's has shown. If 5D's shows something different from what I intend to play, that's tough nuts for 5D's, 'cause I have no intention of going out of my way to change stuff.
